Boyce was appointed President, Creative, Content and Channels in October 2007, and is responsible for all television content, all channels and their brand values. She oversees the company’s channel groups spanning conventional and specialty, which consist of the CTV Network, /A\ Station Group, /A\ Atlantic (formerly ASN) and 30 specialties, including The Comedy Network, MTV, MuchMusic, Space, Discovery Channel, CTV News Channel, Bravo!, CP24 and more. Additionally, Boyce presides over the company’s development, commissioning and foreign program strategies, all scheduling strategies and overall program promotion.

From 2001 to 2007, Boyce served as President, CTV Programming and Chair of the CTV Media Group, where she helmed all programming, promotion, scheduling and distribution for CTV, CTV Video Player (formerly known as The CTV Broadband Network), The Comedy Network and MTV. Since her tenure began, Boyce has led CTV to major programming successes, delivering the most powerful television schedule in North America with #1 shows in all genres. With an astute eye for top-rated acquisitions, Boyce is also responsible for developing one of the most popular original programming slates on Canadian television, including comedy (Corner Gas), drama (Degrassi: The Next Generation), reality (Canadian Idol), original movies (Lives of the Saints), music (The JUNO Awards) and live television events (Live 8).

Considered one of television’s most revered program chiefs, Boyce’s broadcast career has spanned both the public and private sectors, from news, to current affairs, sports, information and entertainment programming, as well as all aspects of television production. She served as Senior Vice President, Programming for CTV from 1997 to 2001 and Vice President, Original Programming and Production for CTV (formerly Baton Broadcasting Inc.) in 1997, where as project leader, she launched CTV British Columbia (previously known as independent station VTV) in September, 1997. Prior to joining CTV, Boyce helped launch the award-winning Discovery Channel. She has held senior production and management positions at CBC and CBC Newsworld and has a production career that has spanned a wide range of events including elections, Olympics and CFL Football.

In June 2006, Maclean's magazine named Susanne Boyce a top Canadian newsmaker, and in 2004 she was selected "Person of the Year" by Playback magazine, Canada's industry publication of record. Most recently in 2009, Boyce was named Woman of the Year by Canadian Women in Communications.
